Overview

In Dopplio, there are two main steps:

1) Create a template

2) Generate videos from the template

You only have to create a template once, after that you can use it forever to generate unlimited videos.

Let's get started.

Step 1: Create a Base Video

First let's create a new Template:

Then let's record our video. You can either do this by:

A) recording the video in the browser directly using the "Record Video" button:

or

B) recording a video using your software of choice (e.g. Camera on Windows, or PhotoBooth on Mac, Loom, etc.), and upload it afterwards:

Recording Your Video

For this example, our script will be simple:

"{HEY NAME}, how's it going? I'm Ashwin, CEO at Dopplio... and I noticed you were hiring on your website"

Here we have two options for recording our video, using the Lip Sync method or the "Wave" method. Either method works fine.

A) Lip Sync Method

If we want to AI to lip sync our video, we make sure to keep our mouth closed during the "HEY NAME" portion of the script. Like so:

B) Wave Method

If we want to avoid AI Lip Sync (or don't have it enabled), then we can use the "wave" method, where we use our hand to cover our mouth with a wave while saying "Hey Penelope". Like so:

Once you're happy with your video, click "Continue" to save the video (or upload the video if choosing to record it on your own computer)

Step 2: Add Background Images

Next, we need to specify how many background images we want to show up, and how long each one should last. In this example, we want it to look something like this:

The first image should be the prospect's company page that displays for 5 seconds

The second image should be the prospect's company's careers page that displays for the remainder of the video

We'll start by clicking 'Add' in the background image slot section to add a second background image slot.

Next, we'll specify both these slots as "Variable", since they'll be changing for each video (since every prospect has a different company and careers page)

Finally, we'll specify the duration of each slot.

Set the first slot to "5" (for "5 seconds")

Set the second slot to "1" (we always set the last background slot duration to "1", because by default it shows for the remainder of the video)

Next we'll move on to adding Audio Splice slots for our customized greeting

Step 3: Add Audio Splice Slots

To figure out where your audio splice slot should start and end, play your base video and notice where your greeting (the "HI {NAME}") starts and ends

We notice our "Hi Penelope" (in the wave method) starts almost immediately at 0.3 seconds, and finishes at around 1.5 seconds, so we make that the start and end of our Audio Splice Step:

Note: generally these are not perfect your first time. After generating a video, you'll typically notice what needs changing and tweak the video 2-3 times to get them perfect.

(If using the AI Lip Sync method, just select the start and end of the "silent" period where your greeting will go)

Now we just select whether we want AI Lip-Sync enabled (if you used the "wave" method, select "Disabled")

And then click Save Template to wrap things up.

Step 4: Clone Your AI Voice

Next we'll generate our AI Voice, click on "Create AI Voice" in the sidebar.

Now give your AI Voice a name, and upload a file (audio or video) of you speaking that's less than 10 MB in size, and click "Create Voice Model"

Typically we just use our base video (if it's small enough), otherwise you can record audio of yourself speaking.

Once your file is uploaded and your AI voice is generated, we can actually use our template to generate videos!

Step 5: Generate A Video

Now that we have a template, we can finally generate a video from it (this is the only step needed to generate videos going forward)

From the home page select "Generate New Video"

Select your template

You should now see the following page, asking for two background images and one audio file:

We'll walk through this one-by-one.

Background Step 1

For the first Background Step, we want to show the prospect's company page. There are multiple ways to specify a background image, but for this demo we'll select the "URL" option, and specify the homepage URL:

Background Step 2

For the second background step, we'll again select "URL", but this time we'll specify the URL of the careers page:

Audio Splice Step

For the audio step, we'll use the AI Voice we created earlier. First select the "AI Generated" radio button, and for the message type "Hey Adam".

Make sure the AI Voice Model selected is the one you've created (in our case "Ashwin")

Make sure your page looks like this:

And then click "Generate" to kick off your processing

Downloading Videos

You can view the progress of your videos from the Videos page:

Once completed successfully, you'll see an orange Download link for your video. Click on it to download your video and play it successfully:

Wave Method Output

AI Lip Sync Method

Congrats! You've successfully generated your first Dopplio video. To generate further videos, all you need to do is repeat Step 5 as many times as needed

Then upload the videos to whatever video hosting website you prefer (Loom, Vidyard, etc.)

And final step... enjoy the free time saved :)
